A treat from DC...

I was telling you about my trip to Washington D.C.

I mentioned going to the Washington Redskins game,
what I didn't tell you was who I went to see-
Kumiko!
Yeah!
Just look what she made me-
MACARONS-
Ahhh, so yummy!
They are so much work to make.
Check out this cooking blog on how you make such an elegant dessert.
Yes, Kumi is very talented!
I am lucky to have her as a friend.

We are getting to see each other soon.
Our annual Christmas dinner in NY.
I can't wait!

Thanks Kumi!
They were delicious!!!

LC in KC...it's no lie!

As an early birthday present to me and Jessica's day of birthday present(from Gayle)-we went to meet Lauren Conrad for a book signing at the Plaza. The weather was cold, February- icy but, it was worth the journey out of the house. Lauren Conrad couldn't have been nicer and now I have an autographed copy of her book! Who knows when I will read it. I must admit I haven't read the first one in the series LA Candy. I hear that she has a third one in the works. Why am I always behind? It may have to wait until summer --I will read it and remember meeting friends in February for an autograph.

On a funny note, Sutton informed everyone on the school bus that we are moving to Vancouver. I am sorry to inform you, we are not moving. He just got caught up in the moment and regrets his statement so much that he says he isn't going to school tomorrow. We will see about that!
XOXO.

A peek at Nell Hill's Halloween Room

Thursday was a quick road trip to Nell Hill's...the store was decked out in Christmas. It was a glittery sea of loveliness. I wasn't ready for Christmas decor just yet. I am thinking of Halloween and all it's spooky fun. Picture glittery skulls, wire spiders and loads of crows--sheer fabric draped and gathered on all surfaces. It looked like a room belonging to Edgar Allen Poe. I was in Halloween Heaven. I am so motivated to decorate at home. Just needing a few extra minutes.....

Ric Rac Round Up-Kansas City Style

Miss Ali and I headed to Ric Rac Round Up on Saturday. It show-cased many Kansas City Artist that I love....

One of my favorite artist is Lesa Dailey.

I first saw her work at Miss Frenchies.
She made me Miss Pink Wings...who now lives on my studio table. I love every inch of her!

She also made this felted strawberry pin that I plan to wear on my apron at Silverbella!

I picked up a pink goody bag from Dayle Bennet.
And we had to go to the cute store hosting the event....BON BON ATELIER. They have a blog and pictures of their darling store on-line.

I found this necklace...I love vintage circus things!

And a mystery grab bag sack full of Pink things.....Yum-O!

What a neat event...I can't wait until the next one!
