Swell Noel

Good morning everyone on this cold, December Sunday.
I wanted to share a couple more Swell Noel projects.

Here is a sweet"Oh, Deer"! card~

This is a shaker ornament with glitter in it. The ornament was made from a metal tin that held eyelets. The clear lid made a perfect window to view a snowy scene.

I received an Email from Miss Sherri Berry. How exciting that her work was featured in Macy's! Read below to find out more about her success as an artist!

Okay, here is the Macy's story . . .

Hello, Friends and Family.
I am excited to share some special Sheri Berry news with you. Over a year ago I had the opportunity to work with Macy's in creating a collection of products for the holiday season this year. It all started when the Macy's "Trim-a-Tree" team stopped by my booth at Surtex—the licensing show Tom and I attend in New York each May. The people I met were interested in a design theme (a collection of images) I had designed and had on display, called "Swell Noel," for holiday ornaments and decorative tabletop items.
After discussing product ideas with them by phone a few weeks later, we signed an agreement to have them turn a series of my illustrations into three-dimensional merchandise. A few weeks later, the Macy's prototyping team in China began transforming my artwork into an amazing number of ornaments, snow globes, tree skirts, "sitabouts," and other products.
"Swell Noel" turned out to be Macy's main Christmas collection this year, and is displayed in most stores on a tall entryway arch that leads to the "Holiday Lane" section of the store (like the Macy's in Tulsa, where I am pictured below). I am already hearing from some early holiday shoppers who have found my web site and written to tell me how much they enjoy the look of the collection.
To see the items that make up "Swell Noel," you can go to one of the Macy's stores listed below, or see my web log here (or go to http://sheriberrystudio.blogspot.com/ ). Scroll down to see the Macy's collection, posted on Nov. 2, and you'll see how Swell Noel is also being sold in other stores this year as cards and fabric.
Unfortunately, the Macy's website does not have this collection. I have provided, below, a list of Macy's locations we have been told are carrying the Swell Noel collection--and several reporters in the field (thanks, all!) have confirmed the stuff is on display in their areas. I don't know if this is a complete list of all Macy's stores carrying the collection, so you may want to check in your area if you don't see your local stores on the list.
Stores without a full "Swell Noel" display may still stock a few of my items, like the stores in Kansas City that don't have the full collection. You can identify my items by the gold, oval "copyright Sheri Berry Designs" sticker that each one has.
Please feel free to send this email on to anyone you think would be interested in seeing the collection or at least learning about it. As the list shows, many stores in larger metropolitan areas (aside from Kansas City) are included.
From our home to yours, we hope you all have a happy holiday and a very Swell Noel.
Sincerely,
Sheri Berry
