Happy Halloween! The house is buzzin' with excitement...

I though I would take some quick Halloween photos of my home before I took down the seasonal decor. I was shooting away... when, what should I spy with my little eye?

RIGHT here....do you see it?-- The thief trying to steal candy. Candy for cute little trick-or-treaters. Yes, Coco was caught red handed...or red pawed.

So, I thought I would put her in jail bird stripes....well, actually bumble bee stripes. A word to the wise. DON'T STEAL CANDY from children.

Happy Halloween!

Paper "Bella" Dolls

Oh, I was struggling to get these girls dressed.

When I signed up for the Silverbella swap this summer, I immediately ordered
The Marie Antoinette Paper Dolls book by Tom Tierney.
Then, I had this hair-brained idea to make a shadowbox in the
Queen of France's fashionable gown.
How in the world was I going to accomplish this?
Jewelry boxes.... they would hold the mini collage I was dreaming of!

Poor girls needed some clothes. It was a cold, October day in the Midwest.
The wind was howling and pumpkins where blowing off the porches.
I just couldn't create fast enough....
Now, that is what I am talking about!!!!
A closer look will show you Marie has fake hair. It was actually a Santa beard. She is bedazzled with feathers and jewels. We all know what a fashionista Marie Antoinette was in the 1700's.
She sent you a message:
"Wherever you are, is the entry point"

So, in other words. Start where you are at and don't get frustrated because you wish you were somewhere else or at a different place in your life. Start where you are at....and enjoy the view.
I am participating in a paper doll swap at Silverbella.
It is being hosted by Elizabeth Shea.
Here is her blog and you may even see a sweet paper doll made by her.
I hope your Halloween night is Spooktacular!!!!!
Off to work on the next swap....candy, sweet charm...hmmmm

In Your Yard...

Looking in your very own backyard, you can find an inexpensive crafting material.
How about some sticks, twigs, and acorn?
For complete "how to's" visit Here.
Easy Breezy to create.
I found the fabric in the dollar bins at Wal-Mart.
Happy Fall....time to rake.

On-the-go!

We have just been a family on-the-GO lately.
I guess fall is always like this....busy, busy, busy.
Here are a few things we have done in the past week.

Miss Hayden and I shopping at the Holiday Mart. It is a fundraiser for the Kansas City Junior League and such a fun event to go to. Miss Hayden came away with a lighter wallet and a sassy pair of suede boots. I bought her a black dress with flowers on the neckline made of zipper wrapped fabric. She made such good grades, I couldn't resist.

Sutton was begging to go to the Truman Home. The home is closed for renovations--so Sutton wanted to see it before the renovations. Such a neat piece of history and close to our home.

Of course, we had to have a phosphate at Clinton's.
This is the historical drug store, Harry S. Truman had his first job in.
Miss Ali and I headed out into the country to Kelly's unbelievable home. Here are pictures of the carriage house. It is connected to this gorgeous stable in Platte City. Boy, this girl has talent. To see more and read more about her home...she is in Home in the Northland October/November issue.

We went this past weekend to a breath-takingly beautiful wedding. The bride looked like a princess. She was just glowing with happiness. Here are a few pictures from the reception at Union Station. I was having too much fun to snap any photos.

Mom and I before heading into the church...
Shane and I in the photo booth at the reception. How come I am the one looking so silly. I think he is laughing AT ME....in every shot.

Sunday, my crew headed to watch the poor Chiefs lose. They had fun, but I think with the rain and cooler temperatures, everyone was asleep by 8:00 PM.
I hope fall is keeping you busy.

Trick or Treat Hand-stamped Boo Bag

Here is a project I created for Inkadinkado. It is an inexpensive, canvas bag that has been stamped and stitched on. I am not an embroider by any means, but I did a little doodle stitching to create this unique treat sack.
For directions on which stamps I used and some how-to-help go to:
I added a rhinestone on the spider's body for some bling!

I created felt and paper tags to dangle off the trick-or-treat sack. They are hanging from one of my old earrings. I lost the other one and hoped to find it someday. It never did turn up so, in honor of it, I placed the earring on the bag.
According to my husband, I don't throw anything away.
He may be right!
Shh...no need to tell him!

I hope you make a little sack for all your goodies!
I {heart} candy!!!!!!!!!
