Dear Miss Frenchie, You inspire me.

Miss Frenchie's had my head spinning and my heart pounding. Here is just a taste of the twice a year thrill. I will post more photos tomorrow.

Meet Julie Reed. She is an artist that works at K & Company. She is a wonder. Always amazing me with her talent and abilities. I know when it is something Julie created...I am sure to be wowed. She had her booth's sign hanging from mattress springs. Yes, she designed the signs for each participant at Miss Frenchies.

Here are more examples of Julie's handy work. Her lovely crocheted brooches displayed on old books. She folded, cut every page in each of the books. I bet you are in awe of her like me. She created no two brooches alike. The attention to detail will blow your socks off. Yes, those are her yummy scarves too. I want one in every color.

Julie found an old cash register and with the help of her boyfriend, they salvaged these cool pieces. She showed how to use it to hold business cards. SOLD...I had to have one. Here is mine hanging already in my studio. Thanks Julie!

That darn Julie forced me to buy this awful thing....I had to say that because my husband reads my blog. Hee hee. I died when I saw it. It is breath-takingly beautiful. It is hanging in my studio for now on a push pin. I can remove it when I want to wear it. It is the dot over the "I" or the cherry on top, depending on how you look at it. Julie, I will always treasure it and think of you!

Another of my favorite places in Kansas City and at Miss Frenchies-Vintiques. Shelia and Chari put on a beautiful display. It was so crowded at their booth, I couldn't get near it. Here are the photos I took standing in the corner to stay out of people's way.

It was so beautiful...that my photos just don't do it justice. Shelia has such innate sense of design. She wraps lace on spools. She adds buttons as garnishes. Just look at the measuring tape Miss Ali let me get. (She took the yellow and let me have the white one) Thanks girlie. The tape measure was so sweetly wrapped with ribbon and flowers. I had to use it in my display. Shelia you are one in a million! Vintiques is in the City Market, a great central location. It is on the backside of Steamboat Arabia and across the street from the Chinese Grocery Store. Chari is also an artist that makes my heart go pitter-patter. She creates these amazing sculptures, jewelry, and paintings. Her style just draws me to each piece. Here is my yummy Vintiques measuring tape. It came wrapped like treasure!

Yes, I used the measuring tape in my cake stand. I threaded it through existing holes. Just Perfect!
