Scrap St. Louis with For Keeps Sakes!

I was lucky enough to go to St. Louis and enjoy a weekend spent with fellow crafter's. The event was called "Scrap St. Louis" and it was hosted by the fabulous store For Keeps Sakes http://www.forkeepssake.typepad.com/. This is definitely a destination store. It has EVERYTHING a crafter could want and more!!!!! It truly is a mega store owned and ran by some amazing crafter's. Here are some pictures from the event. If you have not been to For Keeps Sakes and are heading on a summer vacation to the St. Louis area, make sure to stop in, you won't be disappointed.

We had a trunk show. I have never been to a trunk show before, but it was such a neat experience. Here is what my table looked like. The suit case is a stinky one but I loved the bars in it for hanging pants. You could hang cards from it too!I was so nervous about my display. I am not good at things like this!!! sweat, sweat!!

Oh, because I am crazy....I soldered 100 charms as a keepsake for the weekend. I used children's dominos as the base and the image was from clipart book with wedding images and borders in it. I bought the book at Michael's.

For the retreat, I taught make-n-takes all weekend. I designed a little mini book to be used on a layout from K and Company's Sea Glass line. We used a matte pad book and a tag pad book, ribbon, and one Grand Adhesion sticker. This is what my table looked like. Here were some cute Kansas City girls. Don't you just love them!!!! CHEESE!
These ladies I had met in my class at For Keeps Sakes back in April. It was good catching up. They would keep me in stitches.

Scrap St. Louis is planned for next year. Contact the store for sign up dates and more information. Thanks for a lovely weekend. Kara

Your display looks amazing. I love how you used that old suitcase. And, how you lifted things off the table so people could see them. And, as always, your creations themselves are eye-catching.

Hello Kara! Lovely to visit you again and see all your pretties. I think you did a great job on your display, it made me want to examine everything up close and personal!

I'm glad you are enjoying the shows and not fretting about the weather. The weather has taken center stage in all parts of the world lately and there's nothing much we can do about it.

I'm at home now and so is Kim so get to posting girl so I have something sweet to look at!

Big Hugs,
Liv
