A Formal Invitation

I am creating this album for my daughter...it will hold pictures through out the years of her life, until she leaves for college. The words in the album are to remind her to hold true to her beliefs . I think this album would be a great tribute to an Aunt, Grandmother, Mother, Friend... bring your photos and let the celebrating begin.

We can love them, affirm them, thank them and celebrate them.

I would love to invite you to join me in Kansas at 2 Scrappy Sisters for a fabulous class. We will be using the Amy Butler's K & Company line to create a 10 page album. I will be posting photos of the album tomorrow. Don't forget to RSVP. Kara

Monday, Already Here...

I try not to watch the clock when I am in Studio Pink...It is midnight. I really need to go to bed. However, I just want to finish what I am working on. I am on a mission! I recreated an old page packet called "A Slice of Happiness." It was taken from a scrapbooking store and not returned. I used new Daisy D papers. I like it better than the original. I also changed another page packet called "Cool Blue Pool." I knew something was missing from it for a long time...Shazam! The turtle needed goggles. I also added some buttons or bubbles depending on how you look at it. The horse layout is new...It says "WANTED for stealing hearts." Hayden is in a horse phase. She takes riding lessons and lives a breaths horses. This is for her. I am hoping these layouts will be made into kits for the sisters. I will post when all my packets are available at 2 Scrappy Sisters.
This weekend was very productive for me...3 layouts...miniature golf...dinner at Mimi's.

Happy Friday!

I want to wish everyone a Happy Friday. I just don't know where the week has gone. Yesterday, I enjoyed lunch with some friends at my favorite local restaurant-Tommy's. It is owned by the Cascone family...so you know the spaghetti is good. Today, I am heading to 2 Scrappy Sisters in Kansas to drop off a bouquet of flowers. You will have to check them out. Each flower has a different center-buttons, gems, photos, pom poms, brads, and paper clips to name a few. I made the flowers with the Prima Big Box of Blooms, the K and Company flower pad, and a truck load of glitter. Well, have a great Friday and a nice weekend. Kara

Special Delivery Coming Your Way...

I am in a crafting mode. Here is a sneaky peaky at a little something for the sisters.

Dream

I forgot to post this picture in my Home Sweet Home post. The word DREAM came from a little store in Parkville. It is made by Wendy Addison. The German glitter glass tarnishes with time. The stars are from my favorite treasure digging spot-Gordman's. They are hanging on a wire shelf. The curtain hides my mess. My rubber stamps are displayed on a plate rack. I found it in Omaha when Susanne and I did a little shopping after Silver Bella. Thanks for peeking at my space. Kara

Home Sweet Home

This is my basement rabbit hole. It has a cement floor, exposed ceiling, cement walls with pipes on them, no heat vents, and no windows. I love every small inch of it. The room was a storage room off the kitchen in our basement. I put scrap rugs down. Stapled fabric to the walls and added lights. Dear Shane built me a countertop for creating on.

Picture Day!

Today is Picture Day at my kiddos school. I took some photos before they left. Such cutie patooties! Sutton is missing 3 teeth on the front, bottom of his smile. Hayden is looking so much older. I shot these photos in my garage with my Digital Rebel. The light in the garage is usually flattering with both garage doors up. My two models are squinters. Hanging a sheet in the garage is great for lighter colored backgrounds. In these photos, I used the flash to create a dark shadow background. Have a wonderful day and thanks for all the posts. You girls make me feel like a rock star!

My April Class

Here is what I made in April. One is a wall hanging and the other is an organizer. I hate my refrigerator cluttered with information. This book holds it all. There are extra kits for both avaliable at http://www.scrappysistersks.com/. The easiest way is to call and have one set aside for you.

Baby Oh Baby!

Lucky Me...I spent Saturday with my 2 oldest and dearest friends. All 3 of us have girls. All 3 of us have been close friends for almost 20 years. All 3 of us value our friendships. We can go months without talking and pick right up where we left off. This is the newest member to the Sisterhood. Her name is Maggie May. She is just scrumptious. She loves Bravos and Shopping. She is going to fit right in with the rest of us. xoxo kara
