Uncharted

No Words.

My Tears Won't Make Any room For Them.
This Hurt Isn't Like Anything I've Ever Felt Before.
This is No Broken Heart.
No Familiar Scars.

This Territiory Goes Uncharted

-words by Sara Bareilles

Last week I buried my father.
I know he has been very sick, but I was still unprepared to say good-bye.

Oh dear Kara, I am so very sorry you had to say goodbye to your Dad. Losing a parent is "expected" and yet so difficult to bear. When I lost my mother to cancer, I too, was unprepared for the heartache and sense of loss. I still miss her every day. As you will your father. But, you will carry him forever in your heart...and you never have to say farewell to that. My deepest, deepest sympathies to you & your family. And you'll be in my thoughts and prayers.

We just buried my father-in-law. Red Cross got the message to my husband in Afghanistan in record time. He was able to come home.
Sometimes the tears just come. I am thinking of you and your family.

Oh, Kara . . . I am so sorry for your loss. I lost my 89 year old father two years ago and it seems like yesterday. Time does heal, but the wait is almost unbearable. My heart and prayers go out to you. Love, Liv
