Winter causes me to dig out my beloved wool sweaters from the back of my closet. I have worn them more years than I wish to share. I love how cozy I feel in them on a cold, blistery Midwest day. When I go treasure hunting at my local thrift store, and come across these yummy wool sweaters. I squeal with delight and quickly place them into my basket. They are the base for these wool flower brooches.
1. I wash the wool in hot water and dry it.
2. Then, cut it into strips approximately 3/4 of a yard long.
(Depends on how large you want your flower)
3. I roll and glue or sew them into place.
4. Add embellishments and add a fastener to the back
Aren't they fun!
Perfect little girlfriend gifts for a coffee date surprise.
XOXO,

You are so clever! They came out so cute!!
P.S What is a billfold? I bought the hand cream in L.A and am so worried I won't be able to find more when I run out. It's sooo yummy!
Hugs!

Happy Belated Birthday, Kara!!
I love these fabulous flowers. Wool in any form, felt, flowers, sweaters, makes me a happy camper.
I love the wooly flowers.. They turned out so cute. Love how you embellished them.. I have made some but, I am not really great about the embellishing part.. I am learning. I found 2 great sweaters at one of our local thrift stores for under 2.00.. Lucky find.. My Hubby thinks I am crzy! lol! Have a great weekend :)
Oh these are so pretty! I have been organizing my craft room for the last week and a half. I have found some wool sweaters in there. I want to make some sort of flower. You are so sweet to stop by...your blog is lovely.
XO~Hope
LOVE these!! I want to try to make them now so bad and guess what??!! I don't think I have a single wool sweater in the da-house! I love the way they look, but can't wear them!
You are so creative! I love these! I'm digging out my old sweaters now!!
Hey, sweetie! Love these little broaches; how imaginative you are! Have you made that purse yet? Please share with your followers. Tell Sutton I would love to live in Vancouver too; we vacationed there about 16 years ago and it is marvelous!
