Vegas equals Art

Vegas always refreshes me. I don't know if it is the bright lights or the sound of the slot machines, but it makes my blood pump and my eyes open. This trip was no exception. I was inspired. Our first night we stayed at the luxurious Encore Hotel. It is part of the Wynn hotel and is said to have cost 2.3 billion to build it. It has 2,034 guestrooms and 9.5 miles of neon. The hotel prides itself on bringing nature inside with tons of windows and natural light. The hotel is filled with butterflies and the color red. I could have spent days just taken in all the decor.
Take a peek!

View from our room.... the kids kept saying their ears popped as they rode the elevators.

Hotel entrance...butterfly statue.

Garden in front of hotel.I was in aw of the red lights in the casino. They were amazing!!!!
The entrance inside the hotel was filled with trees, flowers, and twinkling lights!
It makes me want to make a flowered Styrofoam ball with flowers in it for my studio. It would look so pretty full of pink flowers...hmmmm.

Oh, I think I took pictures of every type of light in the hotel. Just look at the ceiling. Does it make you want to paint?
I thought this was such a unique ceiling covering. Yes, those are lights in it!
Butterflies on the ceiling, butterflies on the floor...they fluttered everywhere.
The floors were made with mosaic tiled butterflies. I want to make a mosaic picture frame.

Red Glitter Butterflies!
My daughter is inspired by fashion. What a great place to see couture pieces. The Chanel skirt has me dreaming of loveliness!

More amazing lights!
It makes me want to bead necklaces or bracelets. The colors are so vibrant!
Even the carpets...reflect pattern and movement.
Yes, we could have stayed in our cozy room for days...but Vegas, Hoover Dam, and the Grand Canyon were calling our names. We had to leave this luxurious hotel and head to Arizona for a piece of art that only God could create!
Glad to be home...so inspired to create. I started with my blog. Hope you like the change.

WHAT LOVELY PHOTOS! I have never been to Vegas and my goodness...there is much to see! The pinks are great and what I love is that treatment on the ceiling of yellow, poofy material! The gardens are luscious as well. It looks like you all had a great time! Thanks so much for visiting me and yes, dads and memories always bring a tear or two to my eyes. May you have a grand weekend with yours or with someone special to you. Anita
